There is a large variety of box available at different stages of growth at varying sizes. We have access to an unlimited supply of quality box specimens of different maturity and all potted plants contain slow release fertiliser which ensures the highest standards.
Common and Dwarf Box plants in 7cm or 9cm pots or root balled. Supplied and always available. These plants are ideal for edging for example round a patio or kitchen garden. As an idea it is suggested that Dwarf box is generally planted 4-6 inches apart and Common box is planted 6-9 inches apart. Common box will grow around 50% faster than Dwarf and is therefore recommended for larger areas where height is important.
Box plugs that are 2 1/2 years old that are ideal for establishing new hedges and are available by post along with Box bare root which are supplied at 9-15 inches. Box plugs are best planted from early October to the end of May
Variegated Box is also available throughout the year and is mainly sold in 7cm pots or 9cm. It is very popular when mixed in a dwarf box hedge to provide a contrast between the different shades of green as the rate of growth is is similar to that of dwarf box.
Dwarf Topiary available in 3 litre pots or root balled. It is a very popular variety for mini topiary and is often used in pots on a patio. Dwarf topiary can be used for wondow boxes as it does not require repotting on a regular basis and will withstand winter conditions whilst keeping their full colour. It is a good idea to combine varying styles of topiary within each window box and is ideal for smaller gardens and courtyards where space is restricted. Typical sizes are 6 inches for box balls and 9 inches for cones.
Mature plants of up to 15 years old are available of varying heights and shapes such as this mini dwarf box topiary in a 10 litre pot. These quality specimens contain plenty of foliage which is achieved by pruning every year around August. We also have root balled plants.
